B-5 God's Prophetic Puzzle - 2

Theme: Daniel and Revelation are like different pieces of a big puzzle. We need Daniel to understand Revelation, and we need Revelation to help us understand Daniel.

Supplies:

• One 25-piece puzzle, divided into two separate boxes
• Label one box “Daniel”
• Label the other box “Revelation”

Directions:

1. Divide the class into two groups.
2. Give each group one box of puzzle pieces.
3. Tell each group to put the puzzle together using only the pieces in their box.
4. Give them 5 minutes to try.
5. Let them struggle and notice that the puzzle cannot be completed.
6. Stop the groups and invite the entire class to work together, combining both sets of pieces.
7. Once the puzzle is finished, explain how both sets of pieces were needed to see the whole picture.

Discussion

• Why was it hard to finish the puzzle with only one box?
• What changed when we worked together and used all the pieces?
• To fully understand Daniel, we must study Revelation, because Revelation adds pieces that explain Daniel.
• To understand Revelation, we must study Daniel, because Daniel gives the foundation and key clues Revelation builds on.
