Symbols

Theme: God uses symbols to help us understand prophecy

Supplies: Pictures of the following: Eagle, stop sign, yield sign, bathroom sign, wind, water, animal, animal's horn

Directions:

1. Show pictures of the stop sign, yield sign, and bathroom signs, and ask what they mean.
2. Show a picture of the eagle and ask which country it is a symbol of. 
1. Explain that God also uses symbols just like nations use symbols.
2. To understand prophecy, we need to understand the symbols God uses.
3. Show a picture of wind and explain that it is a symbol for war/strife
4. Show a picture of water and explain that it represents lots of people
5. Show a picture of an animal and explain that it is a symbol for a kingdom
6. Show the picture horn and explain that it also represents a kingdom that comes out of another kingdom
7. Mix up the different pictures and have the kids yell out what each one represents as you show them.
